Glossary
Words that come up often in reports and are not always familiar. In a report, pointing at or tapping a term the first time it appears shows the same note.
lock contract
A smart contract that holds tokens and releases them at set times or conditions; team and investor allocations often sit in one.
multisig
A wallet that needs several keys to sign; 3-of-4 means three of four signers must agree.
no published source
The contract's code was not verified on a block explorer, so its functions can only be inferred from the deployed bytecode.
proxy
An upgradeable contract shell: the logic lives in a separate implementation contract that the admin can replace.
perpetual
A futures contract with no expiry; funding payments keep its price close to spot.
open interest
The total value of perpetual positions not yet closed, in US dollars.
funding
Periodic payments between longs and shorts on a perpetual; positive means longs pay shorts, negative the reverse.
settlement interval
How often funding settles, commonly every 8, 4 or 1 hours.
book depth
The total of resting buy and sell orders within a band around the price (here ±2%): how much can trade without moving it far.
circulating supply
Tokens already circulating, excluding those still locked or not yet issued.
fully diluted
Market value if every token were circulating: price times total supply.
DEX pool
A pool of two tokens on a decentralised exchange; sending tokens into one usually means trading or providing liquidity.
taker buy
The share of trades where the buyer took existing sell orders.
liquidation
A position closed by the exchange because its margin ran out.
premium
How far the perpetual's price sits above (or below) the index price.
